Book two is different from book one in a number of ways-it's more plot driven, for one. I didn't feel the need to do that with the first book. I dialed the speed down to 90% and was happy. The only complaint I have is that sometimes her voice for Essie is too fast, passing from rapid chatter into something manic. This one was as solid as the first in terms of variety of voices and a crisp reading.
